Massimiliano Tarozzi

Massimiliano Tarozzi (PhD, University of Bologna) is currently associate professor in Education at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science, University of Trento, Italy, where he teaches in the areas of social and intercultural education as well as Qualitative Research Methods.
In his department he is also coordinator of the International summer school in “Qualitative research for Equity Education” (4th edition).
He has been Fulbright visiting scholar at Department of Education of University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and he is member scholar at the International Institute of Qualitative Methods, University of Alberta.
He is currently Editor of “Encyclopaideia. Journal of Phenomenology and Education”, member of the editorial board of several scholarly journals.
In addition to a number of scientific articles, he has written or edited 12 books in the field of intercultural and citizenship education; teacher education and qualitative research methods in education, including Phenomenology and Human Science Today (Eds. With L. Mortari, Zetabooks, 2010; Cittadinanza interculturale [Intercultural citizenship], Firenze: 2005); a cura di )and Educazione alla cittadinanza. Comunità e diritti [Citizenship education. Community and rights], Milano, Guerini, 2005. With Carlos Alberto Torres (UCLA) he has just finished the comparative book Tarozzi, Torres. Multiculturalism is dead. Comparative explorations. (Currently under review).
